Booked a one way only to find no ticket at the checkin in spite of having a confirmation number.
Contacted customer service and was told that it was the airlines responsibility to confirm, and since they failed to do so, there's no ticket. Then I'm told they could book me a flight right away, since I'm on the phone, for $400 more.
I ask the gate agent if what I'm being told is true. He checks with his supervisor in Portland and is told that they've never heard of this before nor have they heard of Travelation.
I tell customer service that he's being dishonest and that the gate agent was willing to speak with him and correct his thinking. Customer service refused the offer but continued to press the $640 ticket. I declined.
I purchased through the gate and made my way home.
4 emails, 2 phone calls, 6 different reps who sent 3 more confirmation numbers telling me my flight was booked even though it was a week later!
Alaskan Air, don't allow this to happen by letting them sell your tickets.
Don't book Travelation. It's a scam.
